Torrid Outlander Collection Try On

The Torrid Outlander collection is understated and so flattering for plus size women. From their t-shirts and leggings, to their wrap dresses, to their cloaks and undies, the Torrid Outlander collection makes good use of the Fraser tartan.

If you’re not a fan of Outlander, why not? The story has everything: a hunky husband; a tough-as-nails heroine; complicated villains; action and adventure; and even a few history lessons. (I’m a huge fan of the Outlander books. I read them long before there was a TV show on STARZ. I even took an Outlander tour of Scotland in 2016.)

If you’re already a fan of Outlander, then you definitely have to rep the Fraser fam’ in one of these Torrid Outlander pieces.

If any of these pieces are sold out, you can always check Poshmark, where you can find like-new and new clothing for sale. (That’s my referral link.) Use code NANCYBASILE when you sign up to get $10 credit.)

As a bonus, in this video, I try on an ah-mazing Harry Potter cloak. I’m so glad I bought it because now, they’re impossible to find. Keep scrolling for individual pictures and links for each item.

Plus Size Outlander

Here are the individual pieces I tried on in the video for the Torrid Outlander collection.

Plus Size Outlander Kimono

Plus Size Outlander Kimono

The Outlander kimono is long and shear. It’s lovely, but I was just too short to really make it work for me.

Plus Size Outlander Wrap Dress

Don’t you love this tartan dress? Every plus size woman should have a pretty wrap dress in her closet. I ended up buying this Outlander wrap dress because it looked so good. (However, I do have to have a little safety pin in the neckline to keep it from revealing too much.)

Plus Size Outlander Coat

I absolutely loved the drama of this Outlander overcoat. It’s just beautiful. I didn’t buy it, though, because it was just a little too big on me.

Plus Size Outlander Thistle Leggings

These Outlander leggings with gold thistle are really pretty. I didn’t keep them because they were a little heavy and the gold thistle looked like it would peel easily.

Plus Size Gryffindor Dress

I really thought this plus size Gryffindor dress was going to be a slam dunk. But I looked terrible in it! It ended up looking very drab and the waistline just didn’t hit me in the right spot.

Plus Size Harry Potter Black Cloak

Plus Size Harry Potter Cloak

This is the most amazing piece of clothing I’ve bought in a long, long time. I completely fell in love with it. The Torrid Harry Potter cloak is stunning in person. I love the drama of it, I love the weight of it, and I love the belted waist. I confess; I look smashing in it.

This cloak is ready for spellin’. But everything is closing. I wasn’t happy about that AT ALL. Pandemic doesn’t mean plague. It means contagious, not deadly. In the winter of 2017-2018 nearly 80,000 people died from seasonal flu* in the USA and we didn’t close nothin’. People could still buy TP at the store. . But. I’ve accepted the hysteria and I’m going to go with the flow. I’m going to take this suddenly available time to read, indulge in video games and board games with my family, do a lil’ extra Wizards Unite at the park, and try to make the best of it. . I just wish people were more level-headed about the whole thing. Yes, there are precautions to take, like hand-washing. Yes, *some* people shouldn’t go out, like the elderly or those with underlying conditions, but the rest of us are gonna be as fine as we are during any other winter flu season. . So, stay calm. Take care of yourself — physically and mentally, support small and indie sellers who depended on that cancelled con’s income, and we will prevail. . *Snopes . #coronaviruscancellations #harrypotterfan #cloak #potterheads #wwohp #wizardingworldofharrypotter #wizardsunite #fluseason #expelliarmus #stupefy #protego #expectopatronum #reducto
